It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the cancellation of the Mad Mud Run. When this began in 2007, the Mad Mud Run was the first mud run outside of Camp Pendleton, CA. By 2012 there were over 50 different mud runs in Arizona annually with a similar trend on a smaller scale in Vegas. Unfortunately the Wal-Marts of the event world sometimes take out small local biz, but that also forces us to innovate toward the next unique event. Full refunds will be sent to all registrants in the next couple of weeks.
We'd like to extend a huge thanks to all of our participants and volunteers who made this even so amazing over the years. We loved putting it on as much as you enjoyed participating. Thank You!
Given the open date of 11/23, we are replacing the Mad Mud Run with a Geocaching Competition called the Cache Clash. Participants will be given a list of coordinates leading them to up to 40 Geocaches over the course of a four hours with the goal of making it to as many as possible in that time. Strategy and stamina will play a big role in how you do, as will how well you use your geocaching device (GPS unit, smart phone, etc). Information will be available at www.CacheClash.com in late September.
